Long dresses, midi dresses, textured fabrics, and soft tones all work especially well for outdoor family sessions in Raleigh. However, authenticity and personality trump all so if mom feels best in pants and a top that is the direct to go.
Once mom’s outfit is selected, coordinate everyone else around those colors instead of trying to perfectly match.

Don’t Forget Comfort for Kids
As a Raleigh family photographer, I can promise this:
Happy kids photograph better than uncomfortable kids.
Choose outfits your children can move around in and comfortably play in. We will be doing LOTS of playing together. Avoiding itchy, stiff and tight clothing will be the best strategy for kids’ clothes! If your child feels good, the session will feel more relaxed and natural. They should be able to play without fear of dirtying their clothing.
